Nationality: Scottish
Language(s): Scottish Gaelic, English

Likes: Instruments. Plays flute, violin, fiddle, pipes... but not bag pipes (they hurt his ears too much if he tries, although he loves listening to them when someone else has them), reading. He's also good at and enjoys cartography and astronomy.
Personality: Reserved most of the time, Finnol comes alive when asked to play an instrument, sing, or dance. He's also prone to overwork.
Bio: Works at the Order of Fisheries and Water Conservation
Finnol grew up in Scotland in his great-aunt (by marriage) Belara MacLeomhann’s care. There was an accident aboard a vessel, the details of which neither he nor his aunt know. However, both of his parents drowned, and his father had passed his sealskin to his son in order that he would not drown in the accident. Belara found him at her doorstep one summer night with a clumsily written (and still wet) explanation from one of the Black Loch selkies, along with a list of the clans he was passed through.
He did not meet his distant cousin (and eventual bride) until they began attending Castle Carrick together (she was sent as a matter of tradition).
Parents: Irwin and Henna Makay
Descendants: Etain and Finnol have had 11 children. Kirstin, Allan, Morvydd, Diedre, Fenise, Galiene, Gareth, Piranis, Taranis, Kiernan, and Justin. Only Kirsty remains, the others having either died soon after birth or been stolen, though there was one miscarriage that is known. It is unknown to them if the stolen children were eaten or transformed.
Quirks: Poison claws that he uses magic to soften and disguise when in human form. Finnol no longer has a seal-skin, he gave it up in order to assure Kirsty’s semi-safety. He is one of the few that did not have to do the skin-quest as his father passed his own down to Finnol in order to prevent him from drowning as a babe.
